28 SEPTEMBER
Dear friends,
We must inform that things in Santiago are going back to normal after the state of emergency was cancelled. During the weekend the strikes were peaceful and no curfew has been decreed since Saturday.
We have been operating excursions in Santiago normally and the tourist activity continues to run fine among the country: San Pedro de Atacama, Rapa Nui, Chilean Patagonia, Torres del Paine.
Regarding the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, no flight cancellations have been reported.
As peaceful demonstrations are still planned for this Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 from 5 pm, from our side the operation in Santiago will continue as follows:
The city tours will start at 8 am until 2 pm maximum.
Viña and Valparaíso will be visited leaving 7:30 am from the hotels.
Everyone in the team is in the office at your disposal.
We will keep you informed.
Sincerely,
Condortravel
29 SEPTEMBER
Dear friends,
Yesterday afternoon protests continued in the centre of Santiago; however, this situation has not been replicated in other regions and, as we previously informed, tourist activity continues running as usual on most areas of the country. The Government has maintained its decision to call off the Estate of Emergency and no curfew has been declared.
Today, a demonstration is expected to take place in front of the Casa de la Moneda, so our operation in Santiago will continue as follows over the next days:
- The city tours will start at 8 am until 12 pm maximum.
- Viña and Valparaíso will be visited leaving 7:30 am from the hotels.
Please, do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any additional enquiry.
