We are proud to announce that our board member Malin Richert, who works at Västindienspecialisten, has been awarded the Black Pineapple Award by the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority!
The award is given to the 100 best performing travel agents in the world, and Malin Richert is the first Swede to receive this award. She is the only one from the whole Nordic region to receive this award, other European winners are travel agents from Italy and the UK.
The award was presented during a gala evening in the beautiful Island of Antigua during a five-night visit. She also got to experience a couple of the top experiences that every traveler have the opportunity to see and do when they visit Antigua. Malin reports that it was absolutely magical!

This newly designed brand brings a renewed focus to premium and luxury travel to Latin America, including their renowned Galapagos cruises and immersive experiences in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia – all crafted with expertise, creativity and care.

On site were representatives from the Ecuadorian embassy, LATA Nordic and Celebrity Cruises.
The presentation was held by Mimmi and Malin from Kryssningar.se® and in both words and pictures told us about the fantastic Galápagos Islands that Malin was lucky enough to visit in November on a FAM trip, partly arranged with the help of us at LATA Nordic.
During the evening, everybody was treated with nice drinks, finger food and delicious chocolate from Ecuador!
